Joan, I'm so sorry you are going through all this. My mother-in-law died last November, but at least we were only 2 hours away and my husband was able to spend most weekends with her, while I spent the last 2 weeks of her life with her. Has she decided against chemo? My mother-in-law took radiation which helped for a couple of months, but then refused any other treatment, but I didn't blame her. Her cancer was not systemic like your mother-in-laws. I completely understand the feeling of being on standby: we'd never know if a late phone call was from Allan's mom or from someone telling us about her. I'm glad you have the help of your mom: don't be afraid to get help if it's needed. Are they sure that the TB is a definite positive? Have they taken x-rays? Just wondered. TB has become a problem in parts of Alabama where I used to teach, but as you said, at least they caught it early! Well, vent all you want, you have plenty to be stressed about right now. I'll be glad to listen: either here or privately. Also, I wish you the best on your surgery, and hopes that it gives you some relief, although I know it's right in the middle of a storm. Sending you prayers for you and your family... Love, Bridget :0) dxcc@dbtech.net
