Re: New Here, I've got Questions! (pain)From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Feb 8 09:41:57 2000
Yes, the pain is worse while sitting. I also get worse aches during a long car ride (yuck!). I went on vacation in august (it was a 12 hr ride) and I felt awful the whole time. Yes, the bumps make it worse, there's a lot of construction near my house so we have plenty of those bumps. I wonder will the pain get any worse than this? I have been taking tylenol for the past 3 days for a constant headache (it hasn't really helped the headache, but it's helped the intense pain of my abdomen, but it's still dull). I have been taking extra strength tylenol every 2-3 hrs and I took tylenol pm last night so I could sleep. Anyway, I also take zoloft (an anti-depressant that also works as anti-inflammatory). It has kept the swelling down. I also have a hard time with pants (as soon as I get home they come unbuttoned and unzipped), I am sure I look like an old man that ate too much and can't get his pants closed, LOL. What I would like to know is what is a pain clinic? I know I have plenty of that. I've been in 4 car accidents since I was 17 (no they were not my fault), anyway I have taken plenty of drugs for those and the fibromyalgia I have as well. Like vicodin, soma, flexeril, darvacet, etc... I wonder how many more drugs my body could possibly handle. Don't you get tired of taking so many pills a day? Oh well, I guess if the pain is bad enough you'll do anything. Right now I am leaning as far back in this chair as I can so I don't get the pain again. I still have one more class to sit through. Well, even if I don't have endo and it's something else I thank all of you for your advice, maybe it will get my pain under control.
