New to the Board & Fellow SuffererFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Feb 6 00:37:47 2000
Hello to everyone from me in Alaska. I have been researching endo all over the web. I send messages and ask questions on any board I can find. I was first diagnosed with endo in 1988, that was the first lap. Did fine for a few years then major pain again. Second lap diagnosed endo again however the surgeon didn't remove any of it because it was a "diagnostic surgery" only. Went through the Lupron and the Depo CRAP - very bad side effects of that stuff. I had another lap done in June of 96. This surgeon removed the endo and did a uterine suspension. In April of 97 I got pregant. I was thrilled!! My daughter turned 2 in December. I started having horrible lower back pain that would radiate down my left leg into my knee. Went to an MD, had and MRI, a bone scan and nerve testing done - All negative. Went to a Chiropractor, still no relief. This has gone on for almost a year. Went to my annual gyn exam and was told that the pain is probably my Endo coming back!!! I couldn't believe it! I have a consult appointment with my Gyn in a couple of weeks to discuss hysterectomy. The pain has been so bad I had to call the doctor today and get some more pain medication - thank goodness for that at least! I apologize for the length of this but I haven't been able to really vent to anyone that cares. At least I have a wonderful and sympathetic husband that takes good care of me (and the baby when I feel like doo doo). I would love to talk back and forth with anyone that wants to - feel free to email me at any time! Thanks for the listening ear and the shoulder to lean on! Amy :)
