Re: newly diagnosed!!From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jan 15 21:25:40 2000
Welcome Fiona, We are so glad to have you here. Please know that you will find lots of friendship and support here. I take birth control pills to treat my endo, but I only take the first three weeks of pills that contain the hormone in order to stop my periods. I've not had experience with Lupron or Zoladex or some of the other drugs that are used to induce menopause that cause the side effects such as hotflashes. With the way that I take my birth control pills I don't have to worry about the menopausal side effects, and if I ever want to have my period back in order to eventually try to get pregnant then the this way of taking "The Pill" is easier to reverse than some of the other options. If you do try the Lupron I just want to say I wish you all of the best. I hope that this is of some help to you, and please feel free to e-mail me any time on a private basis. Kristy :) Jacksonville, FL == http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Falls/4659/kristyspage.html It's the little things that count with all of us ladies: flowers, candy, finding a good ob/gyn who will truly listen to us, and finding a cure for endometriosis. _____________________________________________________________ Win a Sony AIBO at... -- _____________________________________________________________ http://www.everyone.net Make Your Site Stronger(TM)
