Hi Jan, are you thinking of peritonitis(sp) when my appendix ruptured on the operating table, they were very concerned about that and thoroughly washed my belly out, I was scheduled about a month later to have a uterine suspension, he would not even do that while I was cut open, he was afraid of any kind of infection. So of course about 6 months later I was back under the knife. It is funny when I got my uterine suspension, I got pregnant 6 weeks later. I read that they do not do those anymore as a treatment for endo. Gotta remember I was diagnosed in the dinosaur ages!!LOLWhen I was first diagnosed it was 1983(i think or 82) and my doc was all for cutting me wide open on a whim!! Hope everybody has a great day!!Stacey
