Re: A question for Kathie about continous bcp treatmentFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netTue Jan 11 05:30:45 2000
Kristy I have been on birth control pills for 6 months. I started using them when they found a cyst on my ovary, but the pills did not help to shrink the cyst. That is when I had the laporoscopy and they found advanced endometriosis. At that time I was on ortho-tri-cyclen, but I had many side effects. After the surgery, my doc was discussing Lupron with me, but I was totally against it. So we decided to change the pills and take them continuously. I have only been on the continuous pills for 3 weeks, and have breast tenderness and PMS and have been breaking out a little from them, but nothing to bad. I have never experienced break through, as of yet. But I am not sure if the ortho-cyclen is a higher dose than the ones that you have taken or are on now. Kathie
