Re: Headaches from LupronFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Jan 31 19:28:07 2000
Hi Terry Jo....thanks so much for responding to me. I've had so many problems for so long on and off and I just kept trying to block them out and let them pass but lately things have gotten much worse where I finally seeked help. I had a lap 4 years ago, removed a fybroid and hemoragic cyst...LEFT the endo because I hadn't had children. Now it's worsened. I went to a gyn and a gi today....turns out I have irritable bowel syndrome as well as worsening endo....YUK! Anyway, my gyn is starting me on Danazol and said she'll probably keep me on it for a year. "increased appetite" SHIT....I have a slight eating disorder, never went over 98 pounds a day in my life, quit smoking and gained almost 60 pounds.....three years I've done everything imaginable and I've started smoking again and have dropped about 35 pounds and still shooting back to about 110. The last thing I need is increased appetite....HOW BAD ARE YOU TALKING?????? The side effects I suffered were deepening of my voice, increased appetite, and facial hair. BUT at that point in my life, Danazol DID help. I tried going on it a second time when things got bad but it never worked as well as it did the first time. As for side effects, they are a whole lot milder than the dreaded Lupron side effects!
