Home from laproscopic surgery and venting-longFor more information on symptoms and treatment of endometriosis visit www.EndometriosisZONE.org. From: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jan 30 10:41:59 2000
Hi endo angels, Well it's official, I'm stage 3 endo. I'm only 28 with no kids (and I want 2 of them). My first lap was both to diagnosis and to treat any endometriosis found while preserving fertility (if possible). It was supposed to be only an hour long but it took 2 hours due to the extensive endometriosis I have. I'm extremely depressed now because I've been complaining about a painful sexual intercourse for years now and nothing was done about it. And now I find out that I have stage 3. My best chances of getting pregnant are 6 months from now and my husband and I were having marital problems due to the painful intercourse. The pain got so bad that I couldn't have sexual intercourse without bursting out into tears. I'm very uncomfortable and doped up on pain killers-Tylenol 3 with codeine. I'm almost on them around the clock. I'm experiencing burning on urination which seems to be lessening. My doctor, Dr. Maureen Roberts, is wonderful. She said that if I need more pain pills to call her office up immediately. She felt so bad for me. Dr. Roberts said that I will be laid up for a week for sure. The nursing staff at Glens Falls Hospital were superb. They told my husband that if he wanted to spend the night, if I was staying overnight, they could get him a cot and set it up next to my bed. Oh they were absolutely wonderful. Well that's all I can stand typing for now. Jen from Upstate NY
