Elaine,

It is so Good to see you,i often think about you. l really feel for you and understand your dilema,it is always difficult for any of us to trust a new doctor, especially when we have had so many bad ones.l know when i was searching for a endo doctor to do my surgery for the documentary, the way i knew if he was a good doctor < this is my personal experience>was if he thought i had bowel involvement he would suggest to bring in a bowel surgeon and that is exactly what this doctor did, plus i had researched him thoroughly and i knew that he had done over 1000 Laps and he was known in the endo community and by the Endo Association, his resume was a book and he often flew all over the country and world to operate,he sounded to good to be true but i knew he was one of the best and i trusted my gut feeling. He did do a great job but i have had other complications that make it difficult to know how well the surgery actually went. My surgery was May 1998 and i was hit by a car Oct 1998 and then i had 2 major falls and then after spending months in hospital i was discharged in April 1999 and i have been on morphine and endone<oxycodone> ever since and my endo pain in the last 4 days has been really bad and i have had break through pain over the last 18months also.So it is difficult to know with me what is actually going on with my endo,my endo doctor now<the other doctor was from another state in Australia> says that the endo pain i had, was for so long, that my spinal nerves have the pain imprinted on their memory and they wont forget the pain ever and i maybe on morphine for life. All i know is that i will not have another Lap for a few years yet,as i believe the more surgery the more problems but this is for my situation and mine only, everyone is different and some surgeries we can not avoid. Elaine,i know this was long winded but i hope i have helped in some small way. Best Wishes and i hope you have found the right doctor for you. He does sound wonderful and i really hope he is as good as seems. HUGS,
