Gwenn, I think the most of my pain was the fact that they left my ovary in. The endo came back almost immediately. If I could do one thing over it would have been for them to take out everything. Although a complete removal doesnt always quareentee no return of endo. I was feeling so good at first though. It was great I dont regret it too much. I think I have jitters going in to it is all. My one thing was I didnt get oversized underwear. There is some swelling. My Internist gave me a antiinflammatory and that helped at times. The first two weeks dont even think about getting dressed. It will most likely be harder the second week because you will be feeling good compared the the pain of endo. Walk a little bit every day and drink a lot of water. This also helps with gas and helps rid the body of the anethitic. I know I cant spell. ANd if you have a small pillow to hold against your stomach that also helps. I didnt have as many problems as I could have. Just the pain from endo returning to my remaining ovary. I really wanted to keep it longer. I will be back most likely as soon as I can sit at the puter which should be Monday morning if all goes as it did last time. Try to sit up and walk once they remove that lovely catheter from you. Ask for the pump if you can for pain. Its great as you control your own pain meds. I would have to say going into surgery tommorrow the one thing I am not looking forward to is moving from the table to the bed. Really sucks!!! Gwenn when is your surgery ??? Please feel free to email me privately if you want kaitlin1@stlnet.com I was scared to death. I spent much of my recovery time alone which was great. One thing I cant understand. I have always been a tomboy and now they are taking my female parts out and I want to decorate my home in a more feminine pattern Go figure Ellen
