I am 41 years old and have fybrosistic breasts. Recently I had a 4centimeter cyst aspirated by my doc. The first time she tried to draw fliud nothing came out but there was bright red blood on the needle and my breast bled from the injection site. She then tried again and on the third try she got fluid..which was kind of a clear yellow color. I asked her about the blood and she said the cyst was probably deep...and she broke a small blood vessel when trying to aspirate. I was alarmed because I know blood in the fluid could be Cancer. But the blood was not in the fluid...it came out after her first try. She said it was nothing and that the fluid looked normal, but she sent it out to betested along with the small amount of blood. I just had a mammo and sonogram and the cyst looked benign, and fluid filled. Is it possible she just missed the first time, and drew blood? Any insight will be helpful..Thanks Alice.
