Lymphnode disorder and breast cancer, conected?

I have had this problem with my Lymphnodes under my armpits since I was about 15. It started as a small hard bump under my left armpit that didn't hurt or anything but when I had my first child it got swollen and soft full of fluid. Since then it happens almost every month before my cycle and has now spread to my right armpit and just recently has started to spread to my genital erea. I have spoke to a surgeon who said that would happen and not to worry it is mostly just annoying. This Dr. however did not quite awnser me when I asked him if this was at all connected to breast cancer. Some of my friends have kind of scared me a little during conversation about it and was just looking for some kind of reassurance. Thank you for your time.
