Dear Skye- Most breast lumps, especially if tender, turn out to be benign manifestations of conditions such as fibrocystic breast condition. If the masses persist longer than a few weeks, however, it would be best to have the lumps evaluated by a doctor. Hannah Brooks, MD, FACS
