Second opinion

This question is really just a reassurance that I am taking proper measures. I see what I believe to be a very good breast surgeon. He tells me my infection (non-lactating) is cleared but the breast still hurts especially around my period. I also have fibrocystic breasts. I feel painful lumps all the time, all throughout my cycle.

I made an appointment for a second opionion with another breast surgeon - is this prudent? I had a mammo and an ultrasound that picked up dilated ducts probably due to the infection. I have no redness, heat, and my husband insists that my right breast has always been a little larger. Circumference wise it is 1 in larger. Anyway, I need to allay my fears of something awful - since this whole ordeal I have started Zoloft, so much anxiety.

Do other women have pains and occasional itch all througout the month?
