Dear Izzy- Without actually seeing and examining a problem like this, I can give you very little information. It may be that your breast tissue was thinned at the lower edges of the nipple due to engorgement of tissue during breastfeeding...perhaps weakening occurred (stretch marks?) but this would be speculation on my part. The bumps under the arm could be infected sebaceous cysts, infected hair follicles, or some other condition. if warm compresses do not help bring them to a head over a short time, have them looked at. Neither condition sounds much like a breast cancer to me..but you should have any symptoms checked if they persist more than a few weeks. Hannah Brooks, MD, FACS> I have two different issues.
