blister-type lump on nipple

my boyfriend and i got a little too rough, and i think he bit my nipple too hard and now there's a lump on the dark area around my right nipple. it looks sort of like a blood blister and i tried poking it with a needle and blood and a puss-like discharge came out. but it doesn't seem to be going away. i'm really self-conscious about it and really don't want to have to take this to a doctor, or let my boyfriend see it. could you please explain this and if it is just temporary? can i get rid of it? please help me.
