An ultrasound might be helpful in determining if there is a mass associated with this pain. Hannah Brooks, MD,FACS

Since I came down with flu/cold symptoms about 12 days ago, I have been getting burning pain on the right side of my right breast upon pressure. The burning pain occurs when (1) the right breast is push to the left, i.e. when I brush my upper arm against the bottom right side of breast as I pull my arm to the left, I feel radiating burning pain on the right side of my breast, or (2) pressure is apply in a "small bump" on the upper right side of right breast. The MD (resident) and accupuncture both found the "small bump", both don't think it is cancerous, because it "moves." However, they disagreed on the diagonsis. The MD resident thought it is a swollen mammery gland due to PMS. I disagreed with her as I do often experience breast swelling(a constant dull sorenes) before my period, and this feels completely different. The accupuncture thinks because the burning pain started the same time as the cold/flu symptons, it could be a blocked lymph gland. (I'm almost completely over my cold/flu, however the burning pain in the breast has not changed at all). If it is a blocked lymph gland, how should it be treated? If not, what may be other possible cause? What tests can help conclusively diagnosis?
