For the past 2 to 3 years I have had aching and tenderness in my left arm pit and also down the side of my left breast and around my left shoulder blade. I have become quite obsessed with the whole thing as I am terrified it is something sinister. The pain is not constant and sometimes can disappear for a week or so. Over the past 2 years I have had a mammogram and 2 ultra sounds all showing nothing. My doctor has thrown random reasons why I have this pain....muscular problem.....nerve problem. I am not convinced and really want to find out what the problem is. What I would like to know from someone is, should I accept that it is nothing serious from the tests I have undergone or shall I keep pestering my doctor, who, incidentally, has told me there is nothing more he can do, and has told me not to worry as it is nothing serious. Any advice and reassurance would be greatly appreciated.
