breast pain

For the past 2 weeks my left breast really aches. It is more toward my armpit and the pain seems to be more underneath the breast tissue. It does not hurt to touch but it hurts when I breath or move in certain directions. I have sustained no injury to my ribs so I really don't know what the deal is. I never have achy breasts before my period. What can this be?
