--Dear Tanya- At your age, with your family history, an additional diagnostic ultrasound of the breast with the dark discharge might be helpful. It may indicate an underlying cyst which is draining through a duct or some other change in the breast. Hi, Please help me. I am 29 years old, female, and i have had a total hysterectomy 3 years ago. I have since been on premarin and medroxygesterone everyday. I am lactating all the time and I also have a green(dark) discharge coming out of my nipple in the left breast..but milk in both. I have had a mammiogram last year and the results were normal but I do not feel normal. The doctor has never tested the fluid or discharge and this scares me because my mother and three of her sisters and my grandmother have all had breast cancer and I am afraid the doctor is missing something. Can you help me and tell me something I can do or suggest I say to my doctor to get him to check it out in any other way. Thank You
-- Tanya(very concerned in canada)
