--Dear Deb- It is unusual for a bilateral discharge to signal breast cancer. It is more often a sign of some hormonal, inflammatory, infectious, or other stimulatory effect on the breast. You should have it checked to be sure and find out the underlying cause. Hannah Brooks, MD,FACS

I had a mammogram last year and it came back normal, I do self breast exams regularly. Last night when I did my regular breast exam I had a discharge from both nipples. It was a colored liquid, looked bluish green and black. Can someone please tell me if this is a definate sign of breast cancer or could something else be causing this. I can't go see a doctor for another couple weeks and really need some kind of insight as to what is wrong here.
