Dear Sarah-It is very common for young women to have very sensitive breasts as the hormonal changes take effect in their bodies. Other reasons for breast sensitivity for people in your age group include certain medications, birth control pills, or pregnancy. If none of these apply, check out imaginis.com for additional information on management of breast pain. Good luck. Hannah Brooks, MD,FACS
