Dear Rachael- It does sound as if your breasts may be too large for your comfort and health. There are some women who develop neck and spine problems from overly large breasts for their frames. A plastic surgeon would be the one to perform breast reduction surgery for you if it is necessary (i.e. interfering with normal life). It is important that you have reached full growth before this is done. At age 14 you may still be growing. See your doctor first or have your parents set up an appointment for an adolescent medicine doctor. If there are medical reasons for the breast reduction, insurance companies will cover the cost..it is not just 'cosmetic' if it is causing pain and disability. If you need additional help, please write again. Good luck. Hannah Brooks, MD,FACSSubject: my breasts are to large!!! Date: 11/28/2001 02:39pm
i am a 14 year old, 5 foot 2 inches tall and i am of a average build and size and i wanted to know what the size for breasts should be for my age, because i have a 46dd chest and i think that its to big for my age and size.
