Dear Kristen- the swelling of both breast is likely due to taking the birth control pills. However, if you are having nipple pain and discharge, especially from one nipple, this should be evaluated as quickly as possible. You may have an infection, a draining cyst, a clogged duct, milky discharge due to the pill (especially if this is from both nipples), or some other condition. (It is not normal for pain to be associated with discharge due the pill, so, the problem may be more serious and should be checked soon.) Good luck. Hannah Brooks, MD,FACS

My nipple has been pussing for the last few weeks. The first time I found it, I was able to squezze a considerable amount of puss out of my nipple. Also, I have white pimple like things on the outer portion of my nipple. Also, at times I get sharp shooting pains. I started the pill in June, and since then have moved from a small b cup to a low d cup. Do you know what this is, and what should I do about it? Other than seeing a dr., which I will do as soon as I can.
