Dear Dr.Brooks,

Thanks very much for your response. I haven't had any more discharge since that day in June, at least, none on my clothes or otherwise observable. I do still have periodic sensations of burning in that breast, and as of last night, I've got some burning in the other breast now, too. The thing that troubles me the most is the armpit pain. Should the criteria for another office visit be that pain, or more discharge? Since this surgeon advised me against vit. E, when I've read studies to the contrary, that vit. E is actually recommended in the treatment of fibrocystic disease, I'm really wondering about the chocolate cyst diagnosis, too. He was adamant that it wasn't actually blood (he squeezed some out onto a tissue, & it was dark brown, and did not really resemble blood), but a bunch of accumulated wastes. Maybe in the expressing of that cyst, the wastes are gone, but the armpit pain remains. I guess maybe a second opinion might be in order...??

thanks for what you do, madge
