Dear Aggie- There are so many questions that come to mind, and it sounds like you should be seen by an astute physician to help diagnose this. For one thing, your age group will determine whether this is more or less likely to be a symptom of something more seious. One thought that does come to mind is costochondritis--a big word for inflammation of the cartilage that attaches the ribs to the breastbone. This can often be brought on by vigorous exercise, heavy lifting or other trauma. Your description of a pulling sensation and deeper pain could indicate this is the trouble. I would suggest you try and find the best family practitioner you can find by recommendation and have a thorough history and physical done..X-rays often don't provide answers. Good luck. For the past few months I have been having pain in my left breast. I have been diagnosed with Fibrocystic breast disease and I do get pain from that but this is a different kind of pain. It feel like my breast bone is hurting. And it reaches under my arm. When I hang my head down I can feel the pull in my left breast. I just wanted to get some information on this. I have had x-rays done of my neck and they can't find anything.

Thank you
