breast abscess

I had surgery done in March of 2001 for a large breast ABCs, they didn't remove any tissue because it would have been my hole breast (size 32). I am still having pain. Four months ago I felt a lump and it was getting red I call the surgeon but he was out of town, I was told to go to ER after a MRI and $1,500.00 later they said it showed nothing now 2 months later the lump is still there and it is swollen and redder at the incision site. Am I crazy or is there something wrong? How compresses just seem to make it hurt worse. Is this normal?
