breast pain

I have had tenderness for the past few weeks in my right breast, it is painful to touch. It feels sore underneath the actual breast tissue - I can't feel an actual lump but it feels uncomfortable - a bit firmer too. Any ideas what this could be? Could it be the big C? thanks SuzanneTHE BANANA DWELLING
