blood vessels in breast

I'm in my late 20s and noticed prominent blood vessels in one breast a few weeks ago (during ovulation). They're painless and not as visible when my nipple is erect. My nurse practitioner in my gynecologist's office checked both my breasts and didn't notice anything irregular, although an ultrasound revealed two tiny benign cysts in that breast. Could the blood vessels be related to the cysts? Are they hormonal (should they disappear after my menstrual cycle)? I'm also on birth control pills. I have a family history of breast cancer so I'm a little sensitive when I notice something "unusual." Thanks.
