Dear Penny- You could have this checked by a breast specialist or a dermatologist depending on what, exactly you are seeing and whether it is associated with a skin condition or not. a couple of months ago i had a little bloody discharge from a Montgomery gland. Saw my GYN and had a mammogram -- all was normal and I was told not to worry. 2 months later, another montgomery gland (same breast) bled a little and i again went back to the doctor. I was told that the Montgomery glands were surface glands and not to worry -- bloody discharge from the nipple was dangerous but this wasn't coming from my nipple. I am still uncomfortable however. Are there other know conditions that are characterized by bloody discharge from montgomery glands? Do i need to get a second opinion? Thanks for you help.
