please advise on breast problem

I am 28 years old. I was on the Pill for 5 years, went off in June to ttc.

My first cycle off the Pill was 7 weeks, and I have very painful hard lump in right breast near nipple for 2-3 days (can't remember exactly when in cycle, around 3rd week of cycle).

Today is cd 21 of my current cycle, and for the past 2 days I have had a similar painful lump, this time on my left breast near nipple. My doctor's office said to watch it, it's probably a water filled cyst that happens before my period. It hurts less today, but is still there.

I am concerned because the skin over this lump is pinkish red, kind of like a "strawberry" (rug burn).

Should I be concerned? Should I make an appt to see my doctor?
