I was wondering if birth control caused changes in a woman's breasts. I am 25 yrs. old and started taking birth control pills for the first time a little over a month ago. After a couple weeks of taking them, my breasts were very tender for a week and then the tenderness went away. About a month after taking the pills, I feel a painless marble-sized lump in my right breast about an inch above the nipple that I am sure was not there before.Could this be a side effect of the birth pill that is harmless? I don't want to make a bigger deal than it is and make an appointment for something that is normal, but I am concerned about the change I noticed.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks for any advice.
Sincerely, A Concerned Woman
