Inject scars on breast??

Earlier this year, I had a suspicious mole on my breast biopsied - everything was fine. Since then, a lot of scar tissue has developed.....I don't remember the name the doctor gave for this scar. He said he could inject it with something, kind of like a steroid, to help reduce the scarring. As much as I'd like the scar to go away, I haven't agreed to it because I'm not crazy about having something injected into my breast!

Does this injection sound like a good idea?

Would the 'stuff injected' stay within the mole/scar, or would it go into other breast tissue?

Any thoughts and advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.
