I was recently on the pill but forgot two of my pills during the second week of my package and subsequently started my period. My doctor advised me just to quit taking the pills and to start a new package the following Sunday after my cycle. Instead I went ahead and got the Depo shot on the 3rd day of my period and want to know if this is effective immediately even though I had started my cycle early as a result of missing pills. Is there any reason to use another method or is it effective immediately even in this scenerio? Thank you for taking the tiem to respond.
