Cyclene is not listed in my Drug reference guide.

Ortho cyclen is Norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol. With the exception of Yasmin, almost all OCP's cause retention of water up to about 8 pounds maximum. This comes off during the week off the pill and recurs when starting to take it again. When comparing women on pilss to women off pills, there is no difference in weight gain. Both groups gain the same amount. Probably due to remote controls etc.
