You should talk to a doctor or go to a clinic for advice about birth control. There are many kinds available, and a doctor or nurse can give you information about how to use each of them and help you choose what is best. The pill, the shot, the patch (OrthoEvra), and the ring (Nuvaring) are among the most popular and most effective methods. You'll need to get a prescription from a doctor in order to use any of these, and your doctor will teach you how to use whatever method you choose. When you get your prescription, also read the instruction booklet that comes with it. It has detailed instructions for how to use it. Then, if you have more questions, you can come back here and ask them.
