I am 2 weeks into my second depro vera shot. I have had alternating brown mucus like discharge and bleeding for 6 weeks and counting. My doctor put me on extra hormones (Prometrium) and I was treated with Doxycyl for a possible uterine infection as answers to stop the bleeding. I finished my antibiotic and am still taking the Prometrium. The bleeding has not stopped!!! What can I do to stop it? Can I get another shot to increase my homones as soon as humanly possible (my next shot is scheduled for Nov. 12, 2003), do I take birth control pills to help regulate my period (as my doctor also suggested), or do I just wait for the depro vera to be out of my system? How long would I have to wait to return to normal? My doctor said that my cycle should become normal or cease after the second or third shot. What do i do today to shut my menses OFF!!??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
