Hello,I started taking Alesse on the 25th of May. The packet said to use back up for 7 days which my boyfriend and I did. I was on the pill for 10 days before we stopped using condoms. I was online this morning reading about things and I read you should use back up for the whole first month. Now I am nervous. I got my period this month but I know that doesn't mean anything, that you can still get your period and be pregnant. So my questions are as follows:
1. Should we have used back up for a whole month? 2. Could I be pregnant or since I got my period this month am I okay? 3. Also, I went to refill my prescription and they gave me Aviane instead of Alesse, what is the difference? 4. Since I am starting Aviane should I use protection for the first month?
Sorry for all the questions, I am just concerned and want to be smart about all of this.
Thanks, Patricia
