[Birth Control] Choosing a birth control to prevent (mood swings, ab pains and lower pains, and possible infertility)

I was on Depro-vera for over a year and it did nothing but cause a lot of problems for me. I have been suffering for extreme mood swings and lower abdomin pains and now I'm not even sure if I can have children? I've beento see doctors butnot yet a specialist. I heard though that some kind of birth control could help those symptoms,just not cure which? If anyone knows please could you help me and let me know! Thank You
