[Birth Control] Nuvaring

Good day. I am excited and pleased about the new birth control, nuvaring. I have one question in particular regarding its limits in use. Will the effectiveness of the birth control be interefered, in the same way as the traditional oral pill is, when antibiotics are taken? I only ask this because the way I understand it, the hormones are transmitted into your system through your skin, instead of passing through your digestive system. What do you think? In the case that this is answered by someone, thank you very much for your time. :)
