As with the other condition tinea corporis (ringworm) I really dont have an answer but if it occurred after you had sex with him he might have passed it too you from what i found on the web it is a contagious skin infection. I would see your doc again to see if something is wrong and to why it isnt healing becasue it might be in a area where it keeps getting aggravated.
