Hi Deborah, I just wanted to let you know that, for me, the problem was the antibiotics. I was allergic to both erythromycin and clindimycin. I went through months of depression and terrible skin. I had gone off Alesse to try Diane 35 and Ortho, but these just seemed to make my skin worse. Now I am back on Alesse (and off the medicine) and my skin has cleared up. In fact, recently, Alesse was accepted in Canada as an acne medication. So, for me, Alesse is the answer...it might not be for you, but I just wanted to give you this info.
